Interesting new tenant for the vacant Target space...Toyota.

My take its only a small area from what I saw on March 3

March 7
The Toyota showroom 4 cars in it as electric.

There are 6 parking spots per level for electric cars with recharging station for each of them.

The east elevator takes you to grade, but must go outside to get to the mall while the west takes you inside. There is another partial level on the bottom level tuck in under the original mall.

Both levels were empty since no one knows they are there and open.

This reminds me so much of parking garages in Europe, specifically a mall on my moms island in Portugal. (lots of glass, good finishes, and bright)

Interestingly ... this looks identical to the 'new-ish' southwest underground parking garage @ Yorkdale

From April 21. Starting by entering through the new (as of 2015) north hall:

They should have the south-west parking lot open by the end of May.

The entrance at the old level for Home Outfitter and Dollarama is an open empty waste of space with no connection to Holt.

It seems like the constructions and renovations are winding down and coming to an end which seems strange considering the empty movie theatre.

Any information as to when they're starting to convert that space into whatever they have planned for it?

With the down turn in retail as well the empty Target Store and open areas that were to be retail, don't expect to see anything happening to this area anytime soon. Then you never know what will happen.

They made a mess of this end of the mall when OMERS bought the mall back in the 90's and made changes to the design as to what being built at the time. It took them a year as well a lost of $25 million having the partly built expansion on hold with 4 towers crane sitting idle. They dug up a lot of the bury expansion that got bury once the changes where decided on back in the 90's when they built the south expansion.

The city wants this mall to disappear into a smaller size like Eaton Centre.
