The best thing that brutalism ever brought us (IMO) was board-formed concrete, because when you create concrete walls this way, you get the textures of the wood along with the slight lip between each board imprinted forever on the wall surfaces: it's so much warmer than flat concrete which has been formed with a smooth sheet of particleboard and has no texture to speak of.
I should have expected the board-formed concrete here, as it was already used at River City Phase 1. Glad to see the family resemblance coming through already!
