Great news for cyclists in the West Don Lands: the city's newly-released ten-year infrastructure plan includes a potential new crossing of the Don near Eastern:

If the plan is passed by council, there will actually be funding to build it too.

Post-fireworks yesterday, I made a couple of stops on my way home to get some public art by night-lighting.

There is a water play area near the water guardians sculpture. 4 short light posts with buttons like at a traffic light, and potlights with water nozzles on the ground. Maybe it is not connected yet. At first I thought it required 4 people pressing the button on each post at the same time but alas that was not the case, to my great embarrassment.

Yeah, to say the least. I think it's looking fantastic. Clean and sharp. I could live here--

I know I've asked this before, but I'm still not clear what's going on with the asphalted lots shown in some of those pics. Are they being developed into condos soon, or?

Yep I've moved in as of Thursday and I agree it still looks a bit dull but the trees are helping and there's still time before the other retailers start opening and bringing more activity the area.

Overall, I love my condo and building! The protected view is amazing too.

You can't move for the next 20 years! You have the perfect vantage point to document the development of the Unilever site for us @downtownliving

We're thinking of renting one of the condos in the area. What neighbourhood amenities are there for day-to-day? For example, where do you buy groceries, or grab a cheap bite out?
