I hadn't been in years, but in the 1990s at least, it was considered the best ice cream in Toronto bar none.
It was great anti-Bloor-bike-lanes ice cream. Too bad about that anti part, because that left a bad taste in my mouth.

LL Bean is one of the businesses supporting Trump:

L.L. Bean
The prepster company is part-owned by Linda Bean, granddaughter of OG founder Leon Leonwood Bean. Linda got in trouble with the FEC for exceeding the personal donation limit to Trump’s 2016 campaign, to which she has donated many thousands of dollars. L.L. Bean tried to distance itself, but Trump’s personal shoutout to the company four days’ after its statement—which encouraged people to “buy L.L. Bean”—somewhat undermined the company’s claim that it wants to “stay out of politics.” L.L. Bean opened a Canadian flagship in Oakville, Ont. in 2019.

We were disappointed to learn that Grab Your Wallet is advocating a boycott against L.L.Bean solely because Linda Bean, who is only one of 50+ family members involved with the business, personally supported Donald Trump for President.

Not sure if it's going to be a restaurant or something else, but a place called "Maison T" is gearing up to open at the SE corner of Dupont & Shaw. The space was formerly occupied by a restaurant called Universal Grill for many years.

While further east at the SW corner of Dupont & Clinton (a block east of Christie), the Roberts Gallery is now open in the renovated new building space.
