Agree. She's been some sort of anti-Tory candidate who can't come up with anything too "controversial" for fear of losing out to the boring old bastard* himself. Ok. We get slightly less boring, that'll do it.
* Still think Tory's a swell dude, just please don't be the mayor. We need a cat like Archer to run this piece, to be honest. Bold, brave, kinda drunk (ok, alcoholic), yet suave and sophisticated.....and animated and imaginary....fuuuuu universe.

Let's be real Keesmaat has not shown any real substance yet. She copied most of Tory's ideas. The only real thing she claims is to do differently is to stand up to Doug Ford which sounds nice to some people but will have no practical effect and we may be worse off for a city with a mayor who is openly hostile to the premier.

Definitely so- lots of overlap between Goldy's base and Ford Nation, and it comes as Tory's attempting a more populist approach via Kouvalis. Best of luck to her, IMO.

I wouldn't call the group you're speaking of Tory's "base." Tory''s "base" is basically the affluent (just look at where he did best in his unsuccessful mayoral bid in 2003 as well as the 2014 result).

Yeah, if only Tory's base was the same type of person who goes for her thing. Unfortunately, it's not.
I know he's the "same" as Ford for you (you should probably get that checked out), but Tory's base is far likelier to vote for Keesmaat than for Goldy.
