Too bad this park/plaza is so pathetically designed. What are these black plinths sitting around? So little green? The entrance portals / frames are OK, I guess. The whole plaza seems designed and furnished as cheaply as possible, with no apparent design connection to the nearly iconic building it sits in front of.

I'm curious on what the timeline for opening Stock TC is like. I've read articles like this one that claimed September 2019 would have been their opening. Sometimes when passing by the building, I'll see a few workers inside.

Not much other details available online, although they do have a posting up looking for a marketing manager:

Italian restaurant group Terroni and butcher shop Cumbrae’s are teaming up to launch Stock T.C, a new restaurant and marketplace set to debut in mid-August.

According to a newsletter from Stock T.C, the new restaurant’s design takes inspiration from the Art Deco building’s rich heritage. The building’s facade and interior terrazzo floors have been preserved, while a mosaic depicting a Canadian Shield sunset has been added.

Full menu details for Stock T.C have yet to be released. The newsletter promises the culinary offerings will bring together American bistro fare with Italian classics, along with craft cocktails and a curated wine list.

Complete details of the new space also remain under wraps for now, but Stock T.C’s newsletter and social channels hint that we can expect a restaurant, bar, rooftop space, and a market that includes a butcher, cheese and dairy vendors as well as a bakery.

The market component of Stock T.C is reportedly set to open later this month, with the other elements of the space launching shortly afterwards.

Checked it out on opening and it is really wonderfully designed, the food fantastic. Very impressed.

I don't take care much for the retail but the landscaping is disgusting. It looks like the planners were angry with the site plan alloted for the landscaping and made it look like someone just threw furniture and blocks around from a truck or two...hence the random placement. The double frames are clunky too.
 
I went shopping here today. On my way out I was looking for a button to open the door and realized there wasn't one. This surprised me for a new restoration job. Then I realized there wasn't even a ramp. Doesn't seem like there was one on the side either but entrances might be restricted due to Covid.
