I hear ya! Why worry about all those lefty heritage nerds. We could build a 95 story replica of the market with a stainless steel roof. The St. James Cathedral and Casino has a nice ring to it and 49 Wellington is a perfect spot for an elevator parking garage to accommodate the two new towers.

It seems I haven't posted in a long time (just kidding). I can't help it, but it is too good an opportunity to have been given access to SkyJacked's photos and free reign to put some Photoshop spice to it. I love it and need to share the results. Here is what happens, if you add a bit of Ansel Adams or increase dynamic range. I hope you guys like it.

You might be referring to the St. Lawrence Market North Development. I am not sure if and when this is going to happen. On the UrbanToronto blog DSC is telling us that it will be done in 2014-2016 timeframe.
 
That block just south of the Church is very European with the central courtyard. Wish we could get more of that! Great edits Udo and as always thanks for the pics SkyJacked!

I am scared for his sanity if it isn't sarcasm. Unless he was talking about the north market, in which case there are plans to replace it.
 
I am pleased that nobody seems to mind the collaboration. You see a lot more of my pictures that way for certain. Udo has done some really neat stuff with a lot of people’s pictures and there are so many people posting really good stuff. Udo has posted some very good photos of his own as well. Back pages seem to get lost in time on a construction thread but if you look back you can see some amazing photography. I’m just a lucky guy with a tall chair.

The collaboration produces more than just what I shoot too. These pictures came to me from other people, Udo shined them up and now they are posted.

This one of a container of windows from today just struck me as funny. Please don’t ask me why.

This might give you some idea why it looks "fatter" with the window product installed. That man is standing in a suite. someMidtowner posted some excellent pictures on page 270 that demonstrate the transition nicely. If you can find stevedominic's pictures they also show the effect very well.

^ Usually I roll my eyes at such pie-in-the-sky suggestions, but once I pictured that it seemed pretty amazing. It would of course never happen due to expense and that it would need to be entirely publicly funded (can't sell the air rights), but it is interesting to imagine. The view from the Royal York would be incredible.
