The clouds haven't moved, but Ivy has. It looks a little further south. 250 Yonge is in the image with the woman in white, but not in the other with the woman in black.
 
And not a gust of wind, or puff of air disturbed Ms. Resident on her 38th floor balcony ever again.
 
In the late evening, Arena Gardens suffers since there is a lack of proper lighting in the green space. As a result, this makes the space vulnerable to a bad element that we don't want around our community. We want to work with the councillor, her team and the community to improve the green space - this would be a collective effort by all who benefit from having this green space in our neighbourhood. Meeting with our neighbours at 76 shuter, there are also concerns of improper drainage. They seem to suffer when there is a heavy rainfall or when the snow melts in the winter. The drainage load that is created heads south towards their building. Part of issue is a function that this green space was created above a parking garage. The city councillor has made it crystal clear to us to stop bringing up the park with our application. The green space is not part of our application - this has never been our intent. Our intent is to raise awareness through community involvement so that things start moving forward for the benefit of all who currently use it and for the benefit of people moving into the area. Hope that clears up our intentions.
The park does need enhancements, it is not well-kept.
 
Word is that the Mutual Street rowhouses (most of which are low-market or mid-market apartments) are being vacated and demolition begins December 15. (That’s probably the day all tenants must leave.)

I’m not really looking forward to this one, even though it won’t replace anything special. My concerns about scale on this side street, compared to the 11-storey building to the east It and the co-ops on Dalhousie Street, and the effects on Arena Gardens Park.

The city desperately needs to rebuild it to be less wide - it is sort of ridiculous right now.

The reason why it's so wide is because the TTC used a little bit of it for a turn-around loop for Lake Shore streetcars coming from the west from Long Branch and Mimico, and was a separate route with direct downtown access. A separate route, Beach, ran between Roncesvalles and Neville Park. The loop lasted longer as a short-turn facility, and is buried beneath the parking lot where 88 Queen is going.
 
Tracks ran on Mutual from Queen up to Gerrard? the street narrows north of there.. or was it only south of Shuter?

Also, there was no sign of track when they repaved last year. They stripped the road down to the concrete base and resurfaced. The only tracks I can see still remaining would be the loop itself.
 
Once all these new buildings are built and with the increased activities and traffic etc. we will be happy with a wide street.
