I love that sort of visual clutter. I find it adds an extra level of detail to the observable city. I get that it's not for everyone but I'm a huge fan of large format signage. I'd put it everywhere.

The one that they should have kept isn't this - but the old Inglis sign.

I'm a fan of messy urbanism. Signage is part of that.

I did some construction work in the old Inglis plant in the 70's when manufacturing was still going on near downtown. It was an interesting place and kind of archaic even then.
