Just a note, but the Euro style exits are a new standard adopted in the last year or so. The years of the large red "EXIT" signs are behind us, all new construction needs the green guys now I believe.

Can you seriously not understand why exit signs should be universally recognizable?

As an aside, I spoke with someone at the TTC who told me all new construction will have the ISO signage, so presumably the Spadina extension and maybe stations undergoing renovations.

no obviously not, I just said that to explain that they work. languageless signs are preferred as it conveys the message to someone of any language, and with such a large immigrant population in Toronto, it is very useful because of that.

I'm referring to pedestrian flow. Guess you don't realize how god awful busy the escalators are near H&M right now.

during the 4 months of winter, yes.
I walk from Queen to Dundas to work every day, and this bypass offers a lot convenience (much a bigger difference when it is snowing outside. Remember the store will be closed for 2 years).
