You can buy the newspaper or get an on-line subscription at this link. The mild-mannered reporters at this great metropolitan newspaper have to be paid somehow.

An important thing to note is that they don't just want to see a lot of development without strings attached. They want a better community - that's what support for development should be about... not height-measuring contests.
I believe that the NIMBY/YIMBY terms create an unhealthy debate on development. Based on the definitions, one wants ZERO change and only cares about themselves, the other supports maximum development at all costs.
It degrades the quality of the discussion, as the built environment is a complicated topic with many nuances.

Furthermore, the Picture Mount Dennis Planning Framework involved deep community involvement. This shows that addressing the housing crisis while listening to the concerns and ambitions of locals can be done at the same time.
People are far less supportive of development when it is imposed on them without concern for the betterment of their communities.

Once again, I ask that context be added - a short summary or a reason why - whenever a link to an article is posted here as a link. Not everyone subscribes to every newspaper. Not everyone wants to click on a BlogTO link or a tweet.
Sometime copy and past does not work well nor I have the time to fix it. Some sites have their pages setup to not allow cut and paste,

Never post from twitter, BlogTO as well a few others.

Like others, there are things that are behind paywalls and I refused to pay the $1,000's per year to gain full access, let along seeing part of it to do what you want.

Don't mean to get too off-topic, but just posting "blocked by paywall" is super not necessary on here. If you are blocked, that's on you and there's no way the poster can know if your IP has used-up their free views for the month and/or if you have a subscription. And yes, with the ad market having crumbled, this how journalism increasingly happens.

Hmm, I didn't experience the paywall. However, if you have a TPL membership (it's free) then you have access to a multitude of news streams. So if there are paywalled articles you can view them through one of the portals. My usual goto is this one:

Canadian Newsstream

But one needs an "account" at the Toronto Public Library. 📚

How is one supposed to know that the poster doesn't know that it's blocked by paywall.

Could Metrolinx and TTC do a talent search for a new song to commemorate the opening of Line 5 along with the new light rail vehicles?

We could try to get the Shuffle Demons to compose the Eglinton LRV song.

After all, they composed the Spadina Bus song. Yes, they have re-formed after breaking up.

I don't think we need a song for the opening of the line. There wasn't any for any of the others except for the TTC subway song
