I don't think that looks good at all but once all the buildings in that zone are filled in, it won't be so noticeable. This is clearly not the way to build a great waterfront.

Maybe we could put up a big curtain in front of it and disguise it from view. Somebody could design an image of a really cool and contextual building on it. Not a perfect solution but what the hay.

The big ball was scrapped.
 
The entertainment stage on the side has also been changed. It still looks somewhat open but it's not one big, open stage. It looks like it could be used as studios.

To D+S' credit, the building looks really awesome in the renderings. Those pics don't evoke that late-90s Mississauga business park feel.

The glass used looks incredibly dark compared to the renderings.
