As embarrassing as Trump Tower to an American? I feel a bit embarrassed as a former Torontonian who spent a lot of energy railing against the incessant mediocrity constantly forming nasty polyps and pustules, popping up in wretched droves on the city's infected backside.

I dunno honestly if the 'leafs' were blue that'd be way too local sports team. If the leaves were red that would be way too souviner. Yellow maple leaves are the least weighted in symbolism.
