The front page story says "the new terminal will also evetually serve intercity coach services which currently call in at Dundas and Bay Streets.". Unless I missed something, this is not true.
The press release unequivocally talks about intercity buses. The ministry's press office says it would be up to talks between city and Metrolinx. If Toronto chooses to keep the current bus terminal, I guess, it won't be true. But does that make any sense?

The city clearly hasn't signed on though - which shouldn't surprise anyone during an election. And the province and Metrolinx can't speak for city.

Do we know if this Bus Terminal is a single level terminal or a multi-level terminal?

I know it's weird but this is killing me right now.

From Bisonblight at SSC:

The proposal shows a two floor terminal, with 14 bus bays and room for six waiting buses. The existing Go terminal has only five or six bays, so its definitely an expansion, but I'm not sure how much Metrolinx intends to extend Bus service to Union.

Looking at the render in the fact sheet, the bus terminal definitely has two levels.

Well - if they do want to expand to include the Bay/Dundas terminal it is going to need some tight scheduling.

“Skypark will be reminiscent of NYC's High Line, according to Ivanhoe exec.”

Except 0.1% the size?

Hmmm - similar in width, I imagine...

******

Anyone else think that the Bay St. façade of the podium and canopy are UGLY?
and not fitting for Bay Street (albeit south of the underpass).

The bus terminal looks like it'll be a bunker.

At the press briefing now (with new technology!) Here are the new renderings.

Yeah; similar in width, vastly different in length.

And yes, the terminal looks like yet another giant chunk of glass being passed off as architecture. This is one case where I hope the rendering is lying.

I sure hope the actual boarding/alighting part of the bus terminal isn't in the furthest corner of the site from the subway and train station.

Unfortunately, given the location of the terminal within the site, there is every reason to believe that would be the case.
