The elevators not in service had nothing to do with whether it was a government/private build. The South elevators that serviced Levels 1 and 2 of the Bus facility were fully operational and approved through the TSSA. The North elevators that were not in service was not due to the fact at they were inoperable, but in fact were ready, serviced other parts of the building that were not yet complete and ready to be accessed to the public, i.e underground parking. They had to be locked out to ensure the public was not in danger of entering spaces that are still deemed a "construction" area.
Thanks. So in other areas like several go projects and stations, most recently Kipling station. Any idea what common challenges elevators present? Is it the certification process ?
