I'm thinking beyond Europe and at finalists that lost in other competitions.

Wow, this is really a large assembly when I look at what they own in this area. It's practically all the land from Bloor to Yorkville, and from Yonge to Bay minus the two towers planned along Yonge across from the reference library. Here I was thinking 2 towers, really we are talking about potentially many towers. Colour me intrigued!
Perhaps we'll be seeing BIG or Nouvel - those two have yet to do anything in Toronto as far as I know.
Edit: just thinking we've het to see Herzog de Meuron or Renzo Piano either. Honestly any of those four would be fantastic.
It's not quite that famous a name. Most readers won't recognize them as "starchitects"… which will make it that much more difficult to guess, so I'm trying to be a well-intentioned wet blanket here: I'm afraid that when this is revealed that people will be disappointed…
Images?The proposal that's coming is entirely different, not influenced by the earlier design at all… and with the consolidation of ownership, doesn't respect the current lots.
