While "officially" the Pan Am Games don't have golf as one of their sports, "unofficially" the Canadian Open over in Glen Abbey (Oakville) is rubbing shoulders.

Golf is an official Pan Am sport. The Canadian Open is an international event open to professionals from all over the world and is part of the Open tournament.
Pan Am Golf like every other Pan Am event is only for the America's.

Pan Am golf was up in Markham last weekend. The Canadian Open golf is in Oakville this weekend.
Golf is also part of the 2016 Olympics - for the first time since 1904 when Canada won gold. So Canada will be defending it's Olympic Gold next year in Rio.

I was walking around the city yesterday and noticed that Queens Quay in front of HTO Park has a pretty awesome unobstructed view of the CN Tower. I think I'm going to go watch from there.

What time are the fireworks at NPS and CN Tower? I'm hoping to see both of them if they're not scheduled simultaneously.

Why can't they integrate the Parapan Am with Pan Am? It feels as if the Parapan Am is an afterthought.

The fireworks at the opening ceremonies is rather short - I sure hope the closing ones are significantly longer and more exuberant.

I was thinking of driving to Polson Pier to watch the CN Tower fireworks tonight. Is there free parking down there; or on street parking? Also, is Cherry St open, or is it closed? I'm trying to figure out the best route.
