Today marks an exciting new chapter for UrbanToronto as we launch our completely revamped map, designed to offer you a smoother and more insightful journey through the real estate developments across the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area (GTHA). We've been working behind the scenes to bring you a host of new tools and upgrades that make accessing project information simpler and more intuitive than ever before.
The new map introduces a fresh, user-friendly interface that makes navigating development projects a breeze. Whether you're an industry professional, a city planner, or just curious about the changing skyline, you'll find the improved usability and information at your fingertips incredibly valuable.
Previously, projects were all marked individually, with markers spread across the map, even in dense urban areas like Downtown Toronto. Now, with the new update, projects are clustered together and represented by dynamic colour-coded circles that increase in intensity based on density. This cleaner, more organized view makes it easier to see development hotspots at a glance.
We've also introduced a new Dashboard page that provides a high-level overview of development activity across the GTHA. This snapshot of the region's growth includes statistics on the number of projects, types of developments, and more. It's a great way to stay informed about the bigger picture and spot emerging trends in development. All UrbanToronto visitors can visit this page, however subscribers to our UTPro All Access service will be able to access even more dashboards and data.
While all users benefit from these upgrades, UTPro subscribers gain access to advanced options and find even more to explore. This includes deeper data insights and custom tools like drawing custom shapes to generate detailed area reports. The new filters make it easy to customize searches, whether you're focused on residential projects in a neighbourhood or tracking transit developments across the city.
Also, the new UTPro integration across UrbanToronto.ca connects users to project photos, discussion forums, and the latest reporting, all within the same platform. If you're familiar with the basic UrbanToronto map and project database, using UTPro’s advanced tools is just as intuitive.
