How hard is it to do a software update on these things? None of our suggestions such as swapping the colours on the minimap, using the LCD screens for surface connections/updates, rewording the robolady's announcement of interchange stations, or fixing her poor pronunciation of "Dumbass" station have been executed.

Was on a rocket today and they stopped identifying Sheppard-Yonge as an interchange station. All it said was "The next Station is Sheppard-Yonge. Sheppard-Yonge station". Bizarre.

Did they at least fix it so that the voice doesn't say "Sheppard-Yong" the second time she says the station name?

I could see why the TTC did this. The extra energy required to power the speakers for 4 more seconds really isn't worth the cost since nobody uses the damn line. Now that's respect for taxpayer's dollars!

they might as well change "terminal station, finch" to just to "finch" then...

Toronto Rockets are now featured in Cities in Motion 2!

I just saw a new train car (the front of the train) being towed through Goodwood.. Heading east on Goodwood Road. Any idea why it would be out there, going that way?

The route they use to come down from Thunder Bay usually involves travelling around the east side of Lake Simcoe. Once past Brechin it seems that they can use just about any semi-major road to get into the GTA. For instance, Highway 48 is a frequently used route, but by no means the only one.

It may go that way because many of the bridges south of Orillia (both highway 11 and 400) are barely adequate for vertical clearance. Any overheight loads would probably be better going down highway 12 and 48.

It was headed towards the factory though, not towards Toronto. Still confusing, but that at least answers a little!
