Actually, if we ever come down to re-appreciating 80s condo vernacular, when it comes to urban form and placemaking, the Polo Club condos framing Bay + Irwin aren't bad for what they are--even if they're more "mercenary" than Klein & Sears' Bay/Charles complex to the NW.
But, 1001 Bay to the south; *that's* god-awful, and I can't imagine *anyone* thinking of it as "so wonderful at the time". It's what 1 Bloor E would look like if the Kazakhs were *truly* like Borat...

love those long wrap around balconies on Encore! Whoever buys those north / west facing units is getting a great bonus... Really sexy lines too! Just love how these two mix and match elements and play off each other. This is the way to do a 2 tower project rather than just making identical twins.
