Read some history, Stalin had no intentions of invading Europe. He invaded part of Germany and left it as is, after the Germans decimated Russian cities and their population.. Even today, Russia still has more women than men from the imbalance of losing a large chunk of their male population in WWII.

I'm sad Russians didn't wipe out Germany off the map completely for what they've done to Europe twice in the earlier chunk of the 20th century. Today you've got the luftwaffe flying again, and history tends to repeat itself, so...

these quotes remind me of what i used to hear as a kid, that we'd all be speaking german right now if it wasn't for _______. is this the best reason that some can give for defeating hitler? is speaking german seriously that bad? and what if you already know how to speak german? there doesn't seem to be an inconvenience there at all. shit, from some of those german porn movies i watch, the language doesn't seem soo bad. but in retrospect, i read somewhere that hitler might have had a urine fetish and i sure as hell don't want to be pissed on. we'd all be soaking in piss and speaking german if it wasn't for ________.

Filip is expressing regret for the Soviets not completing a genocide. As far as I recall, it was the Nazi regime that invaded Russia, yet Filip, you seem to have something in particular against the German people.

I'd love to see some stats on that. Virtually every society in Europe and the Pacific, lost a good chunk of its male population, yet they all recovered fine. I am sure the mismanagement from the Communists, the Stalinist purges, forced conscription, today's high alocholism, etc. has/had nothing to do with the sex ratio imbalance. Could it simply be that in Russian society women simply outlive men? Oh no, its the Germans I tell ya. They f----d us up two generations ago and we haven't been able to recover since....righhhhht....

I assume you are referring to Luftwaffe participation in Op Allied Force, an operation in which Canada also participated. I see no problem in them participating. It's not like they set out to bomb the Serbians on their own. They participated as part of a NATO operation that was meant to secure the South-Eastern flank/periphery of NATO.

We can debate the merits of Op Allied Force and its geo-political and geo-strategic impact, but you can't seriously debate that the Germans did something particularly wrong in participating and meeting their obligations as a NATO member. If anything, most of the world wishes that the Germans would drop their collective guilt and step up more often....(ahem Afghanistan ahem)...

Yeah, read some history for yourself. Your wish to decorate Stalin with some heroic status comes at the neglect that he brought about the imprisonment and murder of tens of millions of Russians and millions of Ukranians.
