St Lawrence Market

Is that why they removed the bump outs to give drivers better sight lines exiting the Novotel/Parking garage? Prioritizing Novotel over cyclist safety?
The whole plan seems rather ad hoc to me so itis hard to know what they are really trying to do. The vehicle driveway to Novotel and the garage has always been a dangerous spot for pedestrians and cyclists.

You can get a good sense of the offerings by looking at their current store in Richmond Hill:

Yes, though... St Lawrence Market, in all fairness, is not known for being the thrifty shoppers' destination.
Depending on where you're shopping, you can actually save significantly on some things at St. Lawrence Market vs places like Loblaws! The butcher counters in particular have many good deals.

I asked the City why the traffic lights they put up on Front and Scott in the spring are still not working. The answer is, HYDRO!

They told me:

"For Front and Scott, we just got our hydro connection to the signals and are hoping to complete final restoration this week so that we can aim for activation early November."

It seemed like they buried all the conduit but still had overhead wires to each pole. Maybe the overhead wires will be removed on commissioning.

I’m happy to see that the parking attendant by the Novotel who was directing drivers the wrong way down a one way street to enter the parking garage, has been replaced by a police officer asking drivers why they drove past the Do Not Enter signs.
^ I saw that yesterday too!

The Bad: The daily M-F ~8am large Canada Post delivery truck likes to go the wrong way too. I backed up on Friday for him for some reason but today I told him off.

The Good: they added two concave mirrors at the Target (Novotel) Parking exit so bikes and cars have a fighting chance of seeing each other.

A lot of bikes (mostly westbound) are still using The Esplanade road vs the bike lane. I don’t blame them. There is a lot less available parking on the street which is great.
