My first observation........these are some sophisticated folks....cough......look at their website:

For the click averse:

This person is a play by play commentator for uni/college sports:

This is their X/Twitter

I observe that he's elsewhere on conservative media, hyping other talking points w/people like Anthony Furey and Alex Pierson.

Some info about them I got by viewing their website through the Wayback Machine:

There are also some articles about the Novotel on the Esplanade being used as a homeless shelter on the website. So I am assuming whoever founded DOCO lives in the Esplanade area.

I haven't seen this mentioned here already: traffic light installation at Front and Scott appears to be almost complete.
I didn't even know they were adding them there, I only noticed passing by today when I saw they suddenly were in place though still garbage bagged over.

The Novotel was a major flash point in the neighbourhood in the covid years. I bet this guy lives in one of the buildings across the street from it.

What’s the word on George St? Just north of King a popular Bike Share dock and recently placed street furniture has been removed. I think some of the on-street parking has been removed as well. My partner emailed Bike Share TO and they provided no information.

I’ve had a cursory look on the web but most hits are for George St north revitalization or St George St. My best guess is storage/staging for the upcoming curb extensions at King/George but is there possibly more being done on George?

The City are starting to repair the sidewalks and repave George from King to Adelaide. Relax

That’s what I told my partner, but she’s shamefully lazy and upset about the extra 30 second walk to the bike rack on Frederick. I was just interested to hear about what quality improvements are coming.
Ha! I suspect there are zero 'improvements' planned which is a pity as that block of George is wider than necessary (or adjacent blocks) and the City could have put in planters etc etc. At one time the BIA had it on a list for such improvements - with GBC - but these seem to have fallen through. Re-paving is good but it is actually NOT in terrible condition and was well patched a couple of years ago but .....

I think this every time I walk past the Celeste scaffolding on George and how much of the street that takes up at Richmond. It's more than wide enough to bump out the sidewalks and to eliminate on-street parking along most of its length. It doesn't need to be as wide as it is.

The above area especially, though, should be extended sidewalk along where the bikeshare dock is and where these planters were set up in 2021.

I wish we would be better at coordinating road diets along with resurfacing but I suppose that may be asking for too much.

Yes, the tentative plans from the BIA that I saw a few years ago did both but I think GBC lost interest (or had no $$ to contribute?) so it all died. Too bad!
