Yeah, but you don't know which outcome Renata is praying for.

No, as a victim of parental abuse myself, I completely agree. She's pure vitriol, through and through. I was just expounding upon her odd relationship with Ford, given the circumstances.
Just digging around a little more (but stopping now, promise): The OPP uses Eurocopter135s, acquired in 2011. List price, before police add-ons, is US$4.2 million per. Presumably 'cool stuff envy' would mean that the TPS could not possibly live with el-cheap-o RR66s and still hold their heads up.
EC135s are HUGE and used primarily for SAR/ambulance services, although I suppose a wealthy police force might have them just to show off. The R66 is a very capable bird for Toronto - but you won't be taking it to the alps with a stretcher and a few paramedics.
Is this Doug being his hyperbolic self or actually telling the truth?
So that's about a florin (£0.10) per British resident.
Which all have the Queen on the front:

Surely it's the Queen's money then ...

Doug has long since lost any benefit of the doubt. Assume he's lying and scheming until an outside source confirms otherwise.

On a serious note, do you think that the TPS ought to have one or more helicopters? Would they add that much value?
(I have heard people complain about potential noise, but I live right under the path of the Ornge air ambulances, less than 2 kms as the proverbial crow flies from the UHN landing site so they are quite low - and as large as they are, and as loud as they are when one pays attention to them, after a while one no longer really notices them much.)
