Is there any indication that Doug will be implicated in all of this too? I would hate to have the situation where Rob backs out so Doug can run in his place.

Don't forget the Ontario PC and Liberal parties and their ops (I've been reading the I Hate the War on Rob Ford Again).....
 
Could one reason why the OPP are stepping in be that the TPS have uncovered connections with the mafia living outside of the city and it's outside of their jurisdiction?

Definitely has that vibe. I imagine they want to kill any conflict-on-interest talk before they make a move on the Fords.
 
I think the Chief is just making sure there are no outs for the Fords.

This is great news and means we are closing in!

Hopefully the OPP go over the evidence and we get an immediate arrest to protect the safety of our citizens

Good question. When they bust those child porn rings, does the OPP have much involvement, or is it typically just a group of local law enforcement agencies?

I think it's to a) shut down the Fords' narrative about the Chief being part of a political cabal that's out to get him and in preparation for b) the Fords' future narrative about the Chief being part of a political cabal that sees him arrested and tried for extortion.
 
What's in that ITO to necessitate a transfer to the OPP NOW?! Is this going to involve "connections" to local police.......
