My God, Doug is smart like a bag of hammers. I'll give him this: He's got the conservative sociopathic banter down pat. Just keep repeating the same nonsense, keep answering every question with the same nonsense then close with more of the exact same bullshit. Eventually people will either start to believe it or run out of energy & patience & stop arguing.

His enemies can’t attack him for his job performance or his policies. They just attack him personally. Any negative issues they bring up always focus on his personal behavior resulting from his drug use. Now that he’s clean and sober, that appears to be a moot point.

"He made sure snow was removed in a timely manner and that the city ran in a fiscally sound manner."

I love how this random American thinks her opinion on RoFo is supposed to matter to us.

Wasn't there that event that Rob went to where Harper was there and he (Rob) drove off drunk and spent the night at that hotel on Jarvis? If Towhey claims Harper told him to just let Ford go or something? It's a stretch, but still. Or dirt on their "fishing trip".
The calls to police came in response to Ford's behaviour at a barbecue attended by Prime Minister Stephen Harper at Sunnybrook Park.

CBC News has learned that when Ford got behind the wheel to leave the event, his departure set off a series of calls to a police dispatcher.

On that evening, the mayor became the focus of a city-wide police alert, with patrol cars ordered to keep a lookout for his vehicle.

Ford had attended the barbecue hoping to speak with Harper about getting federal money for the Scarborough subway. That meeting never happened.

Later in the evening, police spotted Ford's vehicle in the parking lot of the Grand Hotel & Suites at 225 Jarvis St., where Ford was staying. CBC News has learned that a police sergeant spoke to Ford inside a hotel room and told the mayor that police had been looking for his vehicle and told him why.

Ford was not charged in the incident and it appears the investigation did not proceed further.

Gee, I always kinda liked Paul Sorvino. Seems he eloped with this sometime-Fox person Dee Dee late last year who is a big fan of our Rob (or judging by this blog, Things Rob Says).

Apparently, she's easily fascinated and has no concept of the timeline for Canadian municipal elections (wait, that last part sounds familiar...)
sorvino definitely overlaps with ford people. here's one example...

You mean like the Flaherty bit dropped in the second excerpt? I don't think so. I'm wondering about the timing of the media drop. It was the precision of a drone strike.
i find it interesting that the infamous garrison ball night was right after rob's trip to chicago with flaherty and dougie.

just for easy reference...
In an email Tuesday to fellow members of the Garrison Ball organizing committee, Ainslie explained how he took action that ended with Ford being asked to leave the Feb. 23 gala.

"Ford Nation is not Harper's base. I think the last couple of days have lost him more votes outside the GTA than he could ever have hoped to gain in Toronto and it ain't over yet. If he has a single functioning brain cell left he'll bail - maybe send in Calandra, or Laureen, or his evangelical church choir. Then come Oct. 20 he can blame "the Little Guys".

Even on the IHTWORF Neil was encouraging people to vote for Harper and several long-time posters and sycophants went "Whoa, hold up. You don't tell me how to vote. I will not be voting for Harper" and announced they were leaving the group. Neil or Sue then went on a completely unhinged rant about "closet lefties, trolls, you can't support Rob but not Harper" and dismissed the posters with a classy " C U Next Tuesday!

It's hilarious. But I think Neil might actually be approaching dangerous territory.

Yah, "If you love Rob...".
