This Woodstock politician has his priorities straight: http://www.1047.ca/news/local-news/fraser-withdraws/
Ron Fraser is no longer seeking a position on Woodstock City Council.

In a statement sent to media Fraser said it is due to his recent diagnosis of Esophageal Cancer.

He says after consultation with his family and physicians he believes that it is in his best interest and the interest of his family that he withdraw from the election process.

He says while it was a difficult decision, it was a necessary one.

Fraser says with time and opportunity he hopes to serve this community once again in the future in some way.

So, those who have more knowledge of this sort of thing, how likely is it that Jude's great work will be fruitful? What's the likely outcome?

And now Kelly Gail Ford has described Matt Galloway as looking like 'a black Pee Wee Herman'. This is a troll that deserves to be unmasked.

Peewee Herman always makes you look like the person you are hiding, puts cracks in the mask.

Doug doubles down, again.

"That's just not accurate...furthest from the truth," Doug says when told of emails showing mayor's staff were involved in campaign work.

In the presence of proof Doug prefers the "la, la, la, la, la, I can't hear you." defence.

Sounds even more grim than what Rob has. < shudder >

Esophageal cancer

Prognosis

In general, the prognosis of esophageal cancer is quite poor, because most patients present with advanced disease. By the time the first symptoms (such as difficulty swallowing) appear, the cancer has already well progressed. The overall five-year survival rate (5YSR) in the United States is around 15%, with most people dying within the first year of diagnosis.

Yeah, the Fords' general response when being caught in conflict of interest violations is to say "So? What are you going to do about it?". Nice to see someone actually taking the bait. If nothing else, this is going to cost them, time, money and aggravation, so it's worth it even on that level.

Anyone who hasn't read brett ruffles interview with councillor Rob Ford should. It will be difficult for him to play dumb this time. In it he is calling out other councillor s on COIs. Anyone have the link?

Does anybody else want a new poll soon, preferably not from Forum?

Also, what is the IHOWOMRF group saying about this?

Esophageal cancer is a beast. Took my dad a few years ago after spreading to the kidney and brain. From diagnosis to end was less than three months.
