Not clear whether Lisi breached bail conditions by hanging with Mayor Rob Ford

Lisi's bail condition prohibits him from associating with anyone known to him to have a criminal record except while in the presence of counsel.
Ford has a conviction for driving under the influence of alcohol in Florida, a fact widely known since QMI Agency broke the story during the 2010 mayoral campaign. Lisi volunteered for Ford's campaign and was praised by Ford for his leadership, according to a character reference letter filed in court last year.
"Lisi can be charged for violating his bail since Ford has a criminal record ... in the U.S.A.," certified criminal law specialist Daniel Brown said.
"More importantly, Mayor Ford can also be charged as a party to the breach if he assisted or encouraged Lisi to violate his bail," Brown insisted.
"The prosecution must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Lisi knew of Ford's conviction, and that is a challenge. There isn't enough evidence on this alone to prove this. If they questioned either of them, and they admitted it, there would be enough."
Prominent defence lawyer John Struthers said Ford has a criminal conviction, but it is a stretch to call him a criminal and it's doubtful Lisi considers him an outlaw.
"Well, to suggest the mayor of Toronto is a criminal is pushing it a little bit. It's not as if he was charged with a conspiracy to sell narcotics. It was a DUI, which some people consider more of a traffic offence than a criminal offence," Struthers said.
(If the potential to murder someone was merely a traffic offence, it wouldn't carry a criminal conviction. )
Edit: As if Lisi didn't know of Ford's conviction. If what Jimmi T has said is true, Lisi would have found out Ford's weak points first thing, and used them against him.
