Mammo has also held several motions at Council from the Toronto & East York Community Council (zoning amendments and accessible parking.) Last time he did this he seemed to be absent (both physically and the, usual, mentally) when they came up but ....

Karygiannis asks if Fragedakis would support tolling "Highway 5" which he says is the Danforth. Fragedakis: "It's not an expressway!"

Mammoliti motion to:

Ask Metrolinx to assume responsibility for the TTC fails 16-26.

Request provincial government eliminate Finch LRT plans fails 2-40. There's your meme councillor

Amalgamate fire and paramedics fails 17-24.

Eliminate the poverty reduction strategy fails 2-39.

Request province take responsibility for "Homes for the Aged" fails 18-22.

Those damn political egghead brain scientists...

Minnan-Wong on ranked ballots: "The only people interested in studying it are kind of egghead political science types..."

"The public's not interested in ranked ballots," says Coun. Denzil Minnan-Wong. He says people in his ward like first-past-the-post.

Coun. Di Giorgio notes it's hard to get 50% of the vote if ten candidates run. "You don't have to be a brain scientist to understand that."

Well then it's unsurprising that the motion failed 17-22. Thanks again, council.

In a fit of strangeness that we should probably expect from City Council, Mammoliti has just admitted he made a mistake voting for the rebuild of the Gardiner East and is asking how the boulevard option can be put back on the table (though he has now finished speaking and did not motion anything).

I have no idea.

I think Mammoliti is still peeved from the other day. He is more of an anti-Tory contrarian than anything now.
