Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

And besides, if you wanted to be *that* nitpicky, you might as well condemn any government for changing/altering/deleting anything that took place under a prior regime. If that were the case, Ontario's web pages would and should look, read, be formatted the same way they were during the Harris regime, technically and all. (And that isn't about Harris; it might as well have been Bob Rae's second term in office, for anyone cares.)

Ah, whataboutism...

I find it most interesting they care cutting healthcare right as boomer bow wave hits. That will make for some very interesting politics to come at the next election.

Understanding the complexities of public health...

Premier Ford today on the purpose of public health units: “Those are the folks that go around and go into all the restaurants and put those little stickers on saying its safe to eat here.”

All right, Ford needs smarten up and realize that public health does NOT let all businesses pass inspections. This is NOT a comminust country. This is Canada. What is Ford thinking? Like honestly.

Well now, none of the Ford children have ever been known to be smart, intelligent and well educated so this must be not a total surprise. On the other hand, they are more or less known for, drugs, theft, dirty business, jails, bullying, gaslighting and alleged embezzlement of the youngest brother's estate.

Indeed Public Health is a very important branch of the health sector, not just giving restaurants a pass. (And fail stickers as I have heard of many stories of filthy kitchens and other food processing facilities.)

Is there a theme that typifies the Ford Family dynasty better than doing dumb things before thinking it out?

Beer in corner stores could cost Ontario taxpayers $1B, industry sources say

Maybe they can take a cue from what the province has proposed for development in areas with endangered species - pay a fee and get turned green again.

Doug Ford said that "Mr. Romano did not have any knowledge of Patrick Brown's dealings..."

Ontario Progressive Conservative MPP Ross Romano says he was not aware that a top donor to the party gave money to Patrick Brown’s girlfriend for work on his by-election campaign.

Mr. Romano, who represents Sault Ste. Marie, said he found it “concerning” to learn about a $5,000 payment to the girlfriend of then PC leader Mr. Brown in May of 2017 in The Globe and Mail on Tuesday. Mr. Brown told Gursharan (Bobby) Sidhu to pay the $5,000 in addition to $2,000 to an unnamed individual for campaign work in Sault Ste. Marie, according to court documents unsealed after an application by The Globe and CTV.

At the time, the maximum allowable donation to a candidate’s campaign was $1,200 a year, under provincial rules that came into effect on Jan. 1, 2017.
