Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

With the Taverner case added to the Size of City Council case added to the teacher union arguing that PC's can't see sex ed policy case, Ford is looking very rational compared his objectors.

if "rational" means running a circus with his "minders" keeping score who stands and claps and constantly refuses to admit the process to appoint Tavener to the OPP was flawed, you might have been infected by a virus that causes you to keep your eyes shut to a very dysfunctional government. The Ford folks that run the show at Queens Park have no backbone and have no taste for parents who protest outside their offices. I foresee a lot more of that in their future.

OH.... yeah your hydro rates will be going up.... Let's see how many good folks will be affected.

UP NEXT: School budget, fixing the system by cutting staff and budgets increasing class size, which no doubt will leave a lot of students with undiagnosed learning problems.
Medical care: remember hospital closing? Staff cuts, private insurance (for profit) etc.

Somehow we will all be affected by the current shit show, leaving the next government to clean up a mess of staff shortages, repairs and corruption.

Just remember, there is an awful lot of voters remorse amongst Fordnation.

Lets be real about the Autism changes too many white people were getting upset and the PC's were getting afraid.

DISGUSTING! NO, let me be real, with an attitude like that no wonder the POS Cons thrive. Autism is no laughing matter and has nothing to do with the colour of our skin, Parents are concerned about the education and treatment their children should receive without having to go bankrupt, sell their home, divorce.

If you are trying to make a case for the Fordites this may not be the best way to do it and if they are going to rely on 'the white folks' they will sooner or later realise that Ontario is very multi-racial and multi-cultural (probably when they get ejected).

They have come forward with lots of half-baked ideas that need to be questioned and refined (and many need to be rejected); their autism "strategy' was clearly not working and being put forward in a way that simply annoyed FAR too many people. (Their amazing claim that larger class sizes are good for students is the latest crazy idea. If they are really short of $$$ they should just say so and explain that larger classes means fewer teachers which means less $$ spent.)

“There’s no money. The province is totally broke”. Says @fordnation

Behind closed doors this week, Doug Ford detailed how “an extensive $10 million investment in horse semen and breeding race horses is important to Ontario!”

"A long-term funding agreement was previously signed between the industry and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp, providing up to $105 million per year for 19 years for racetrack operations and purse support."

Why the hell do we do this?

Actually, hasn't the Ford modus operandi (provincially and municipally) been one of opportunistically feeding off that multi-racial and multi-cultural element? IOW as readymade hives for anti-SSM support, or as insulation against "Laurentian Elite" hubris, etc etc.

Maybe in this case, "white folks" means "old Bill Davis Tories" and the like. Y'know, like dad threatening to cut you off for bad behaviour, etc.

Because Woodbine's in DoFo's riding. And because it involves OLG. Horse racing as the eternal "legitimizing" front for casino dreams and the like.

Its not just about Woodbine.

Its about buying the votes of influential people in rural ridings as well.

The only phrase I hate hearing/seeing more than "virtue signalling" or something "went viral" on social media is "Laurentian Elite". Stupid Ibbitson.

Threatening teachers....

Very little he can do, if they decide to protest in front of their constituency offices, he can fine them if they walk out and legislate them back to work. Remember teachers also provide a lot of unpaid activities, before and after school. He's stupid and has no idea threatening the work force is not a solution.

Edit: Of course he has no idea about the extra work teachers provide as he himself never stayed in school (college) long enough to be thoroughly educated.
