The photos show how much the south service road will be shifted south at the mall area as part of the sidewalk is in place for the new QQE off ramp to be built there. This will allow the new QEW Dixie Rd off ramp to be built later this year.April 2nd

I stumbled across this article with photos of the demolition process this morning:Oh no, I use that bridge regularly when cycling, are they putting in a new one?
For those who talk about adding an lane to the QEW shows it's impossible to do without removing the current service road or tear down existing buildings along it,
Yes partly. So then why are they relocating the service road then? And then what's the point of the new bridge over the Credit River beside the original?
It would be for the north section over the westbound QEW which is odd with you saying westbound was free wheeling. Unless they have built the south pier in 2 weeks considering what there on April 23, that a fast built and why eastbound was slow going. with the beams going over the eastbound. QEW traffic would had to come to a full stop while a beam was being place on the piers..Drum. Major activity tonight lifting beams onto the new bridge piers. They appear to be lifting them into position from trucks located on the old bridge. Eastbound traffic was at a walking pace, west bound was free wheeling, so no photos. Sorry.
Thanks and what I was expecting. The free flow traffic was traffic being release as it had been stop to the east to allow the beams to be place. Eastbound most likely was down to a single lane for safety reason
