This church has always looked somewhat odd to me, like there was an accident and a portion of the steeple was lost, apparently not, it was built that way.

Of course, it could also be the reverse: the tower was built with the eventuality of a steeple in mind. (Another church whose "truncated" look suggests an anticipated tower: Holy Rosary, just E of St Clair West station.)

I thought so too; brewster just needed to get those houses in the shot, but they were blocked in the modern view, so he climbed up to get them!

'April 8, 1914. I.O.O.F College Street.' That old bicycle certainly looks as up to date as anything you see on the road today.

Now. May 2011.

No bicycle locks needed in those days , good shot again Mustapha. What would possess somebody to take away the light and small railing above the main entrance.
