Fortune at Fort York (Onni) - Real Estate -

Does anyone know if dents on the washer/dryer is something that will be addressed by the builder if identified in the PDI?

It's been 8 months now and still no closing date in sight. Has anyone been able to get even an estimate on the timeline?

I called 311@Toronto.ca a month ago and was told the building hadn't been registered yet and to contact the Land Registry office. I contacted them and thy told me they only register land and to contact, you guessed it - 311 Toronto.

My lawyer contacted the Onni lawyers office and they were unable to provide any information regarding the closing date. It would be nice to have an approximate end date to the interim occupancy. Does anyone have any idea whom we should contact to find out where we stand?

Do you have an onsite customer service office? I used to contact the developer directly when waiting for registration; they gave me the most accurate info. I had a good working relationship with them. Talk to the PM too.

Thank you for the info PinkLucy, much appreciated.

If you find any info on closing date please share! I've been contacting my lawyer as well and they also haven't received any info from Onni.

Thank you. I tried contacting the builders office but no one picks up. When I spoke to them last they said that they did not know when it will close. If anyone gets any information please share here.

The following is the email I received from Fortune Care, just to clarify, I never asked for a definite closing date, I requested an approximate date.

Thank you for reaching out and I would be happy to help you with any questions that you may have.

We can understand the importance of this information being that you are making all of the necessary arrangements to be prepared to close. At this time, Onni has submitted all the necessary documents required in order to proceed towards being in a position to advance towards final closing. We are currently awaiting processing time required for these documents to be approved. While we understand that you are asking for a definitive closing date, as the processing time is outside of our control we are unable to provide this information at this time.

As we receive any further information, we will keep you fully updated to the best of our ability.

We look forward to providing you with an update and to welcoming you to your new home.

Cheers,

They gave me the exact same response word for word. Looks like they are just copy-pasting it back to everyone.
FYI - closings cannot be done until a condominium corporation is REGISTERED. It is the act of registration which creates the individual titles on the Province's land titles registration registration system. And without a title, closings cannot take place - you cannot close on a property without being able to receive the title.

It is the City which registers the condominium corporation on the land registration system. If the developer has submitted all the document to the City - which they say they have done - then it is up to the City to review and approve the documents, and then register the condominium corporation on the land titles system. Once a satisfactory set of documents has been submitted to the City, it is TOTALLY out of the developers hands. In today's environment, one should not expect the developer to make commitments as to timeframes on behalf of the City, for processes over which the developer has absolutely no control.

I have never heard of anyone getting expected timeframes from the City for completion of the registration for a specific condominium - but that does not mean that you are not welcome to try.

Does anyone know what kind of paint colour was used on our walls?

Also, has anyone ordered furniture shipped to the condo - did you have to give the delivery drivers special instructions on where to go?

Regarding the delivery of furniture, Structube delivered to our building with no special instructions, a few months ago.

Thank you so much for your response.. I probably will change mine too I hate popcorn ceiling too ! Hopefully I don't have much damages to fix.
Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me with a suggestion or maybe a picture of proof.

I'm the owner of unit 1210, 38 Iannuzzi,
There is yellow liquid odour dog pee coming down on my balcony from the unit above.
It's the third time I'm having to deal with this.

I keep sending pictures and email to management and they sent a cleaning staff to help me clean it.

I woke up this morning to more pee on my balcony, I have a 3 year old son and I can't use my balcony with the stench and urine .
Security was refused entry into the unit above mine until 5 hours later after which they clean it up.

We are all human and I'm hoping if the occupants see this I'm asking to please refrain from such, I rather a calm solution before this escalated.

Any suggestions?

Continue to document and report to management. Tell them that cleaning it isn’t a solution. The nuisance pet needs to be dealt with. Having multiple documented complaints on file will assist in that process. CC the board on correspondence.
