Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Yes, just what is there beyond Malvern that anyone would have thought to extend this line to? And who would ever come up with the idea to compromise the existing line just to add an at grade stop? Any further LRT being built in the area would have been extensions or branches of the Sheppard or Eglinton East Lrt's.
Why build light rail when you could just run more buses? If we need speed and capacity clearly some form of metro is logical.
If your rationale for supporting this $6 Billion boondoggle needs to be a thin as these never even suggested scenarios that are never going to happen, then that should say something itself.

Subways can be built at grade too, yes there are a few locations with level crossings, why are you not also against subways?
Bit of an odd argument, how many subways do you see running on embedded track down medians.

Because lrt is more comfortable than busses and can carry a higher capacity of passengers than busses without adding road congestion, and is more attractive to riders

-Metrolinx is considering high-capicity elevators and redundancy elevators in the new Scarborough stations
-No provisions are in place for Platform Screen Doors (unless the TTC decides on going ahead with ATC for Line 2, and wants to move forward on that initiative)

And this question did get raised early on.

Metrolinx is willing to look at this option as well as integrating TTC-GO service for Scarborough. This would be the only good thing coming out of this 7 year-shuttle service if implemented.
 
Also found it interesting that they are not only looking at provisions for a future Sheppard line extension to Mccowan but also for future transit along the cp rail corridor just north of Sheppard-McCowan station

So I guess they're planning to extend Line 2 to Cornell using the rail corridor? Interesting Idea...

2:00:00 travel time Shep/McCowan to Bloor and Yonge (36 minutes or so)

Bridge station east side of McCowan at Lawrence. would be more user friendly, save time and money and leave land area for future hospital.
Bridging over highland creek at Lawrence will allow work to commence on all three stations at least one year earlier. TBM would be pulled out of ground just north of the valley. TBM then can resume southern tunnel (10 meters a day) without the need to use the north section.

I know/hope that's a joke but to clarify for others they were talking about connections to future transit along the corridor, so probably a Peterborough go line or something and not an extensions
