Boy time flies. Feels like just yesterday that City-TV was moving in here.

I think TMU moving to this building would be the best use of the space going forward. Plus it's a great way to expand their campus closer to the square.

I don't think I understand. What happened? There was supposed to be a TMU deal to make use of the building. Why is it suddenly up for sale for almost 35 million dollars?
Now it doesn't surprise me one bit if Blue Ant Media or Quebecor buys the building and moves Global TV in there... (Corus owns Global, but they are pretty much bankrupt-both BAM and Quebecor are showing interest in snatching up Global TV)

If you're right, don't rule out a hotel instead of a condo. That too might be where the developers might have their eyes.

I think if anything, Corus would try to consolidate at either Corus Quay (more likely) or at Barber Greene (less likely).

The RCC is owned by TMU.

Corus Quay has been sold.
Once Corus officially sells Global, that's when we will know if the new owner would like to continue renting from new building owner George Brown, or move to the former City/Omni building and own it. https://renx.ca/hr-sell-toronto-corus-quay-bldg-halmont-george-brown-2325m

(with Corus having their financial complications, it is heavily rumoured that the new owner of Global TV will be either Quebecor or Blue Ant Media)

The best possible outcome is someone with deep pockets and good vision demolishes this monstrosity and builds something worth having in front of our most visited square.
.sankofa square has nothing but terrible architecture surrounding it, except for the heritage buildings, which they also destroyed with that hideous condo the built on top.
this building is a hot mess, no re cladding would save it. Needs a complete redesign. I doubt TMU has the money to demolish this and build something great.
