But we're different!!
Um, what? Is a what? Classes system? Is that a question?
Wait..... I think I get it.
Perhaps you're suggesting; "So you believe in a classless system of order?"
No.
Picking on AOD will get you nowhere.Sorry Mr. Moderator but I only come to this site occasionally. I just don't have the time and commitment to get up to 20,000 posts so you'll have to forgive me for my modest 55.
They never accuse me of being a SJW.A) I'm not an SJW
B) I choose not to engage with BlackLivesMatter Jeff because it's futile
It was my first time. Your turn will come. They never accuse me of being a SJW.
I'm not a regular on this forum so it's no biggie if I get banned for disagreeing with the moderator. I'm not picking on him at all. Au contraire he seems to be picking on me by implying that I'm some troll trying to start a riot when he very well has access to information that proves otherwise.Picking on AOD will get you nowhere.
Anyway, it's not the Western civilization that is declining, it the dying of nationalism promoted by authoritarian oligarchies.
Thank you, you always cheer me up.It was my first time. Your turn will come.
It's a shame you are you are wimping out, we here at this grand hotel love discourse. I had answers for all your points but alas people look funny at me when I talk to myself.I'm not a regular on this forum so it's no biggie if I get banned for disagreeing with the moderator. It is Western civilization that is in decline. America and Europe are all in decline unfortunately. Just look at the amount of division there is: liberals and conservatives can neither agree on something as complex as immigration and economic policy nor something as simple as to where to put up no parking signs. America's economy will soon (probably some time in the 2020s) get overtaken by the Chinese juggernaut. Even though the living standards are still considerably lower in China and India than in USA, anybody who has extensively visited those regions can't help but be impressed by the surging optimism coming from those areas.
If one analyzes the decline of ancient civilizations such as Greece, Rome and Carthage, one begins to see stark similarities between what happened to them and what is happening to us. Socialist historian Will Durant in his book, the Life of Greece (the Story of Civilization Part 2), claims that everything that is happening in our era has already happened in Ancient Greece: banking scandals, the reluctance of people to have less children, the transition of participating in sport to being spectators, decadence, changing attitudes in how women are valued etc etc etc. I would post a quote from him but since it would most likely cause social media outrage, I'll refrain from it. I'm not saying these things are bad or good; I'm just saying that's what happened.
You probably disagree with me and this is a very interesting topic to debate but I think it would be best if I parted ways with this forum since the moderator made his point clear and I have no intention of getting into a wrestling match with him.
Black Liberation Collective protests UTSU
Group demands union drop its lawsuit against Sandra Hudson
Members of the Black Liberation Collective (BLC) are calling for a boycott of University of Toronto Students’ Union (UTSU).
The group occupied the union’s office at Hart House Circle with microphones and speakers and called on the union to drop its ongoing lawsuit with former Executive Director Sandy Hudson, increase funding for black student groups, and hold a town hall for black UTSU members to address what they call systemic anti-black racism within the union.
The interior and exterior of the UTSU office were also plastered with posters that list the BLC’s demands. Some of the posters call out former President Ben Coleman, former Vice-President, University Affairs Pierre Harfouche, current President Jasmine Denike, and current Vice-President, Internal & Services Mathias Memmel by name.
“BEN, WE SEE YOU,” one poster reads. Others read, “UTSU your antiblackness is SHOWING,” “UTSU IS ANTIBLACK PERIOD,” and “#IMWITHSANDY.”
The UTSU is currently in the midst of a lawsuit with Hudson and accuses her of improperly arranging severance payments for herself totalling $247,726.40, or approximately 10 per cent of the union’s budget. The union also alleges that Hudson deliberately destroyed confidential documents and improperly logged 1,974.5 overtime hours that were recorded in a single entry.
Current UTSU Executive Director Tka Pinnock declined to comment. The Black Liberation Collective could not immediately be reached.
