^ Yup, it's a real mess alright. The only thing I can see them doing is getting rid of that brown corrugated facing and turning it into creative advertising space a la Yonge & Dundas. They need the $ don't they?

Cathedral of the Transfiguration built by Stephen Roman in Markham (Cathedraltown) could be considered one.

The Arcadian Court opened in March 1929 , then the Royal York Hotel opened in June 1929. But the King Eddy opened in 1903, so maybe they have the oldest restaurant in the city.
