wasn't there some talk about the xerox building (or whatever it's called) doing some work to waterproof the below ground levels, etc?

doesn't that require them to be on Bazi's property?

This in itself would indicate that construction is close at hand as they would only do this to avoid problems when excavation at the 1 Bloor east site begins.....

Looks like they brought in construction washrooms to the bloor east site today as well....
 
That's not hoarding, that's forming. I have no clue what for, but they're getting ready to pour concrete somewhere, and for something fairly substantial by the looks of it.

And for what it's worth, no new permits have been issued for 1 Bloor. Not excavation, not shoring, and not to build hoarding over the sidewalk.
 
Thank you Whatever. Over a page worth of posts about this phantom 'hoarding' and only one person has mentioned that there is no hoarding in those pictures...completely different materials.
 
Hmm. Formwork doesn't really seem promising. Seeing as the towers of Cruptal Blown are finishing up their podiums, they could be needing new formwork soon?
 
I think that's the likeliest explanation. Those are flyforms they're building, and there's hardly any staging area at CrystalBlu at all, so they're probably assembling the forms at 1 Bloor, throwing them onto the bed of a truck, and then driving them around the block to CrystalBlu where they can be picked by the crane and landed right on top of the forming deck. And...

No, it isn't possible, because the stuff they're storing isn't stuff they're going to need there for over a year (optimistically speaking).

There's a flatbed that has been parked on Yonge Street for about a week in front of the 1BE site, so the above seems most likely.

Looks like they were constructing something on the south end of the site this morning. Possibly the construction office? Lots of workers on site too, at least 8-10 when I went by this morning.
 
Jeebus! Even the sales staff is saying construction isn't imminent. The white tent and chrome plated shovels comes first, people!
