...then it wouldn't have mattered because the plans were still for a building with 33 units?

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

The UP platforms at Mt Dennis have already been built, so that's a done deal.

That was Sloane, due to an uneven layer of concrete apparently: https://toronto.citynews.ca/2023/04/24/eglinton-crosstown-lrt-sloane-station-platform/

    TTC: Jane (LRT) RapidTO

Is it that bad? Wasn't the subway station built with an LRT transfer in mind?

    Roads: Traffic Signals

Not Toronto, sorry, but does anyone here know anything about these new pedestrian crossing signals they installed a few weeks ago at the University Ave/Laurel Trail crossing in Waterloo? They feel much more responsive from the pedestrian end to me (i.e. often pressing the beg button will...

Over near Kingston and Dundas they even added flex posts:

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Here's the current state of the Breslau siding from ground level, at Woolwich St and Fountain St: Not incredibly exciting just yet but you can see some things happening. Also looks like this crossing at Woolwich St might have been recently redone. Not sure if that was part of the Breslau...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Makes you wonder whether storage of random junk and an inefficiently allocated parking lot is the best use of this valuable space near a subway station... seems like they could be using half the space if they wanted

    TTC: Streetcar Network

Don't even have to go that far, King Street in Kitchener and Waterloo was narrowed to 1 lane in each direction from 2 to accommodate ION light rail. Personally I would rather ride a streetcar where I only have to hop across one lane of traffic to get to the platform, rather than two

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Hopefully when the Crosstown and west extension open they'll send the 25 to Renforth as well, would be super convenient. My current strategy is taking a MiWay bus from Kipling to Square One since those are a little more frequent (there are 3 routes to choose from) and I get credit for my MiWay...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s

"Sustainable" is a weird choice of word here. Maybe it's easier in the short term, but it's certainly not sustainable to move towards even more people having to make the same type of trip from suburb to downtown.

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Many TTC bus stop signs do have route maps, as well as schedules. I'd hope a unified wayfinding standard would be compatible with this extra info, otherwise we'd just be losing information.

here, maybe? just a guess, but it's not like ads are the most fundamental thing, lots of stations don't have them on the walls, and they're ugly ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Road Safety & Vision Zero Plan

To be fair, I love the plentiful small independent grocery stores on that stretch of the Danforth. You don't have to line Galen Weston's pockets *every* time you shop. I do get your point about the decline though. Closest Sobeys-owned store is near Broadview perhaps? Also sort of offtopic but...

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

This gap is seriously bothering me, considering the Simcoe entrance is going to be the biggest and most noticeable of all the subway entrances around Queen/University

Plans to fill in Allen Road

Allen Road's current utility as a transportation corridor is undeniable, but it would be unsustainable and irresponsible to keep the current disastrous connection with Eglinton West with its impact on businesses and residential neighbourhoods in the area. The solution to me is simple: just...

Well now it's just silly that we didn't have this 50 years ago.
