    Toronto Bike Share

I asked BikeShare staff today about Devinci. They bought about 20 e-bikes to test them out first. Almost like an Easter egg to find them. On another note about one battery pack gets stolen 1 out of 20 e-bikes of BikeShare. Sad!

    Toronto Bike Share

New e-bike in the wild. A very first for me. Seems to be the exact same model as City bike in NYC. How did we come to that model?

Road Safety & Vision Zero Plan

This provincial government is an embarrassment. However, no one seems to care. Sad!

Road Safety & Vision Zero Plan

Key Provisions on Automated Speed Cameras (Schedule 5: Highway Traffic Act Amendments) The bill’s impact on ASE is concentrated in a few targeted changes, primarily repealing enabling legislation while shielding governments from fallout. Here’s a breakdown of the verbatim relevant text and its...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

@mike0001 please see the following information I was able to obtain the from the project team today: “The construction schedule for both contracts is expected to begin in late 2025 and carry into 2026, with the details of the bikeway design to be provided at a later stage. We are currently...

@Northern Light in what way something is cooking? Sounds very concerning.

    Toronto The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

Why to let cars being parked in that street is beyond me. The new office building to the south has a huge underground parking totally empty. The Well the same thing with six parking levels. Crazy!

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Is there anything significant of new cycling tracks being built this year? Doesn’t look to me. Sad!

    Kensington Market

How about Pedestrian Sunday this month? No communication by this not very useful KMBIA. Sad!

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

There is now a single bicycle car on the Kitchener line starting in Brampton on weekends.

    Kensington Market

Short question. The web page of the BIA still doesn’t mention the Pedestrian Sunday are happening. I wrote an email and complained. No answer. Sad! Does anyone know and can provide email address to reach out to?

    East Don Trail Project

They still need to pave a lot coming south, don’t they?

    Kensington Market

Agree, car free for the full summer without special vendor Firlefanz. Chairs and seating options would already be excellent. Getting my Brezel and beer to enjoy sitting in peace. One can dream!

    Kensington Market

Too soon to say and no certainty. Overall a lack of understanding of current customer demand. Just look at the tiny market street pedestrian area at St Lawrence market. People now sit and meet. Going to the market is now a social event and a better experience than quick in and out of a generic...

    Kensington Market

I think the BIA and many vendors don’t go with the time and will be gone in time. How can someone so stupid and oppose a pedestrian street construction by the city? I wrote the following email: Subject: A Matter of Political Will: The Case for a Pedestrian Kensington To...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Thank you, @DSCToronto. I’m aware that east Jarvis raised tracks are not installed despite the plan. My suspicion is that the local opposition of a very few grumpy old cats called the minster and the hell who else to stop it. So that way how it’s installed on the Esplanade it’s still...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

This is just a tiny bit of a cycle track. Will this extend to Jarvis to the east and also to Yonge to the West?

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

An update on the University Avenue / Queen's Park cycle track upgrades (east side). I inquired with the city about the construction timeline and they've responded. This section is under the most threat of this populistic provincial government. Therefore, let’s read the following statement...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Mike Layton suddenly was opposing the pedestrianization of Kensington market. I was chatting live with him during community consultations. The reason behind the opposition is not vendors or Disneyland. That is obviously laughable. Just walk down the street to see how buildings are meant to...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

@Northern Light thank you for your response. We are very much underwhelmed by her performance. I met her a few times, but no answer of substance I got. Her son’s legacy is to built cycling infrastructure. She lets it go so easily? Sad family. You are right we all need to write the Major. Had...
