    Toronto Pinnacle Lakeside (Phase 1) | 174.86m | 54s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

Dreading this wall of spandrel. I'd also like to see warmer colours to contrast with the monotony of the light blue condos in the area.

    Toronto 10 Lower Spadina | 163.26m | 49s | Arkfield | BDP Quadrangle

My biggest concern, given its prominence on Toronto's waterfront. Queens Quay West needs at least one beautiful high rise residential building.

    Toronto 230 Coxwell | 13.38m | 4s | Na Me Res | Hilditch

“Groundbreaking” ceremony this morning (via Twitter).

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I'm dreading many, many collisions with passenger vehicles in the at-grade sections, especially in the early years.

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Via Matt Elliott on X, council approves the Parkside Avenue bike lanes.

Former President Donald Trump's United States of America

It somehow keeps getting worse. Trump picks Rep. Matt Gaetz to serve as attorney general https://www.cnn.com/2024/11/13/politics/matt-gaetz-attorney-general/index.html

Former President Donald Trump's United States of America

The circus returns. Trump to nominate Fox News host Pete Hegseth to be defense secretary https://www.npr.org/2024/11/12/g-s1-33970/trump-pete-hegseth-fox-news-defense-department-military

    Toronto 673 Warden | 96.38m | 27s | Blacktusk Group | Arcadis

I think it's a reasonable ask, given that it's on a main thoroughfare and a short walk to Warden Station. Design is a bit too busy, but will probably blend in with the new buildings popping up next door.

    Toronto Long Branch Tower | 143.4m | 43s | Toronto Standard | Studio JCI

I could see a development similar in scale to Linx, also across from a GO Station, which tops out at 27 storeys. https://urbantoronto.ca/database/projects/linx-condominiums.27743

Toronto St Lawrence Market North | 25.3m | 5s | City of Toronto | Rogers Stirk Harbour

That's the vibe I get, at least before opening day. The glass walls feels a tad too "office park."

    Toronto Concord Canada House | 231.97m | 74s | Concord Adex | Arcadis

I see very little redeeming qualities. I find it way too bulky at street level and the Maple Leaf motif very tacky.

    Mississauga Mississauga Soccer Stadium | ?m | ?s | City of Mississauga

A challenge facing the new Mississauga CPL team will be to try and nurture a fanbase in the suburbs. York United has experienced poor attendance since their inaugural season, due in large part, I'd argue, to the lack of civic identity in York Region.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

The Wal-Mart Supercenter, only 15 years old, right next door to the Burlington GO is infuriating. Terrible planning.

    2024 United States presidential election

I'd reckon no more than 1000 independents had the trans stuff as their ballot issue. Trans issues are red meat for the GOP base, but it's not what moves the undecideds. The exit polls showed that cost of living and the economy were the biggest concerns.

    Pizza!

Yes, Masselli's is lovely, and one of the last Italian grocers remaining on the Danforth. There was a sizeable Italian community on the Danforth, particularly between Greenwood and Woodbine, in the 70s and 80s. A few cafes and social clubs remain.
