It's easy to mock the green glass and late 90s ish? appearance but St. Catharines/Niagara residents will probably either think it's "nice and modern" lol or "too tall! doesn't fit in with neighbourhood" hahah

With 3,700 units of housing I hope so! The site plan seems kinda lacking. That's a lot of residents on what was once a waterpark/small amusement park when I was growing up. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised

This development wouldn't be so bad if they built a viable "village square" type atmosphere called Prudhommes Village or something with a couple of high streets heh Probably asking too much, though.

When home prices started to rise in tandem with Toronto... ...Niagara essentially became part of the Greater GTA... Fortunately or unfortunately Absorbed into the tentacles of Toronto's orbit with K-W and Guelph. Now where is the all day GO Train service? 😅

To me it's infill where I didn't even know there was room haha I'm sure (err confident) there's walking and biking paths along the canal nearby at least to get exercise

I'm all for this development. Turning a site that became vacant/run down in the past decade when the new hospital (spring 2013) opened into housing for say 1,500-2000 or more residents. Queenston St in particular needs a good refresh to say the least.

Queenston is one of the roughest looking streets in all of Niagara so hopefully this development and the ambitious project on the former General Hospital site will help turn this street around for the better. It's one of the few streets in Niagara that I would say is not only sad to...
