Not liking the brick podium - this should have all been kept uniform, and its just extremely bland brick looking. Also doesn't feel like it ties into the existing front facade building at all.. a very ugly choice. Once again hamilton has to uglify things up.
 
Hoping this changes before implemented, looks like a 1980s library, nothing to do with either was above it or ties/Complimentary to the historic property

Speak for yourself. The 80s had some really nice architecture. Just like our 80s friends and family hated their 1930s grandmother's house, we seem to hate the 80s for the worst it had to offer, but simple brick patterns are kind of nice.

My parents have an 80s modern house and there are elements of that are amazing.
 
These are going to make a huge impression on the skyline.

32 floors may not sound tall, but this lot of land sits at the peak of the Downtown Hamilton Plateau, so they will look taller than even 100 Main ‘Landmark Place’.

Looking forward to watching these climb!
