TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Let's put it this way. Anything that the TTC builds recently is reliant upon funding from provincial and federal governments, which relies to business such as bombardier and its employees for taxation income. Bombardier going out of business means less taxation to provincial and federal...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Bankruptcy doesn't help a company operate better lol. It's used to stop paying down debts.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

I'm always amazed by how Canadians are so ready to bombard one of their own companies for any mistakes that happen. Would you rather bombardier went bankrupt and tens of thousands of jobs simply disappear? As plane and train makers go, bombardier is surviving in a tough market where their...

Toronto Atria Condos (Alto, Trio, Parfait, Parkside) | 137.15m | 43s | Tridel | Turner Fleischer

nop, that is all and this is it. another piece of wonderful architectural design brought to us by Tridel. Sit on the edge of your seat because there are two more that looks just like this to come. great for real estate prices in the area though, basically doubled in the past 4 years.

Metrolinx: Sheppard East LRT (In Design)

Once again guys, it's not the platform heights or escalators, it's the tunnels that won't fit a LRT team with pentograph extended. You can develop and design a dual mode LRT tram that'll work, but how much money would that cost?

Metrolinx: Sheppard East LRT (In Design)

I thought the problem was that sheppard subway tunnels weren't large enough to fit LRT teams with its pentograph and overhead powerlines. It's the this the reason why Eglinton tunnels are one size larger than subway tunnel?

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Bathurst is as deserving of a station as Any other station currently on sheppard. If we have to connect the loop, maybe out a stop at bathurst. Problem with stations is a give and take between cost of building a station and the cost of running a frequently running local bus.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

I don't think that's going to happen because you're asking for a change in scope for an already approved and funded project which means more debate and delays. however what I believe will happen is that any study of the sheppard line extension will include a southward turn to meet up with line...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Toronto's MKIs all have 1 operator on the trains, which will also be the case of TTC subways once ATC implementation is completed. No sense believing that the MK3s would be any different if they became reality. I'm not sure where the factual basis of your comments come from.

    Toronto Emerald Park Condos | 128.92m | 40s | Bazis | Rosario Varacalli

SRT, those holes are likely are not for signs. they'd be too low to the ground.

Probably not a good idea attaching signs on glass facades in any case. The stores facing beecroft currently have signed mounted inside the facade and they are fairly visible.

    Markham Aviva Canada | ?m | 12s | Remington Group | BDP Quadrangle

As do employers downtown, who house their cars in parking structures. The comments I made were in respect with the city of markham designing this area to be its downtown core, and how the parking lot seems contradicting to the goal.

    Toronto Pearl Place | 121m | 34s | Conservatory Group | Richmond Architects

Resell condos at NYCC can still be found at mid 400s per square foot, which makes any new condos asking at 600+ per square a hard sale. The two developments at Daimond and 5959 Yonge are taking quite a long time to hit 75% pre sales. I suspect any movement on new developments will start only...

    Markham Aviva Canada | ?m | 12s | Remington Group | BDP Quadrangle

There are many design elements on this building that I don't understand. For example, what is the point of those fins. Also, this being downtown markham, why is this building being surrounded by a parking lot?

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

That's not a rule, it flows from our laws where it states that municipalities are corporations under the jurisdiction of provinces. The crown's government does not extend down to the municiple level and that our constitution does not guarantee the existence of municiple governments, but rather...

Despite what Ford says The Streetcar in Toronto is here to stay.

That entire articles sounds sarcastic to me. And isn't there a study that say a good portion of cyclist accidents are at the fault of cyclists? How about licensing cycling in Toronto? If they're going to share the road with licensed car drivers, they should learn the traffic rules too. When...
