    Street Cleaners

Every night around 10 pm they have a pumped-up version of this cleaner, the ones with the circulating brooms on the bottom that seem to be wet, running up and down Church St outside my place. It seems to just run up and down the curb lane. It's really loud and very annoying. Does anyone know...

OMG, that literally must have taken overe a year to get to this level. I remember running by there last summer when they had already commenced digging and now they're only at street level??

Toronto Festival Tower and tiff Bell Lightbox | 156.96m | 42s | Daniels | KPMB

Are any of the major studios donating money to the TIFF portion of this development? Since they are direct beneficiaries of TIFF, it's in their best interest to grease the wheels.

    Bagless grocery shopping? (Loblaws Milton)

Yep...fact of life! One can dream, I guess.

    Bagless grocery shopping? (Loblaws Milton)

For sure there would be, no doubt. My point was that there is still plenty of room to add density in the 416, which would hopefully increase availability/moderate price and drive more people back into the city proper. We're not even close to being built out in Toronto, yet we keep gobbling up...

    Bagless grocery shopping? (Loblaws Milton)

OK, well let's just freeze the city in time forever, and allow garbage development such as above to multiply un-checked and continue to build out and out.

    CityPlace: St. Jamestown in waiting?

Yesterday's census results showed just how much the Canadian "family" has changed. Rather than a country full of hetero parents with 2.4 children, we are a country filled with extremeley diverse households. For example, for the first time in census history there are now more couples without...

Mode Lofts Condos (Cresford Developments) - Real Estate -

I think the only obligation from the developer is to pay a rate of interest on the deposit funds held in trust during the past couple of years, but other than that I think you have no recourse here.

You should quit wasting your time speculating, and seek professional legal advice.

Mode Lofts Condos (Cresford Developments) - Real Estate -

I bought my unit at Spire when Context was still fighting at the OMB for the project. Developers do this all the time, it's very common. Off-hand, I can think of M5V and East Lofts that sold before all approvals in place. I bet there's dozens more. Like I said, in a situation such as this...

Mode Lofts Condos (Cresford Developments) - Real Estate -

You should discuss this matter with your Real Estate lawyer. These agreements are air-tight 100% in favour of the developer so I suspect you have no recourse except to wait this out. Sorry about what's happening, it must be really stressful.

    Bagless grocery shopping? (Loblaws Milton)

Of course I would never want to replace the vibrancy of Danforth, Yonge etc with a Bay St-type development. That's not even what I said...What I said is I would take Bay St over this crap in Milton, NOT Bay St over Danforth, Yonge...it's two totally different things. So do you assume that if...

    Bagless grocery shopping? (Loblaws Milton)

As I mentioned in my previous post, I'm not demonizing the people that live in these developments. What is depressing is the physical environs of these new cities, and the car dependency that results. From there, a whole host of problems arise...emissions, obesity, road rage, etc. Regarding...

    Bagless grocery shopping? (Loblaws Milton)

I'm not trying to judge people for living in the 905, because I know that cost is a big reason why. What I'm judging is the utterly depressing physical condition of these new communities. As the pictures in this thread attest to, there is absolutely nothing redeeming in these new developments...
