Any thoughts on the HVAC extended warranty they're shilling in the elevator notices now? Something like $170 a year for service from WISE Service? After the "maintenance/filter change" debacle, I'm wondering if this is worthwhile, or just another cash grab.

Has anyone noticed the air being quite dry? I don't have a humidity monitor but it feels like it's a touch too dry. I was thinking of picking up one of those Sharp Air Purifier/Humidifiers, but I didn't know if it was worthwhile.

Anyone else have problems with their fan unit? I usually leave the fan set to "ON", which has it in a low-speed mode that you can barely hear. I leave it like that all day to maintain some air flow. It will kick into a high speed mode if the heating has been going for a few minutes but hasn't...

Anyone turn on their heating yet? I switched it on for the first time yesterday and the fan got really loud, sort of like when the A/C is on. The air coming out was just slightly warm. I had some documentation from the fan pump and I thought it said the compressor only came on for the A/C...

ash_p, did you ever resolve this issue? I'm noticing the same thing with the marble tiles in my shower - they dry up fine, but I'm wondering if that's normal or if there's anything I should be doing to protect it.

Any tips on caring for the marble-walled showers? I've always had tiled showers, and used a daily spray to keep them clean, but I've heard those same sprays may be damaging to marble - is that true?
