The new trains have just starting to enter service very recently.
I never commented on how reliable or on-time their system is vs. ours. At least all of our trains (old & new) look like trains/subways, unlike 99.9% of theirs (old & new, especially the deep-tube stock). I like the proposed design of the new trains we're gonna get for what it is, and don't particularly wish to subconsciously associate it with TFL. A decade ago the public praised the TRs because they reminded them of the Hong Kong MTR, and now the TR design appears to be outdated already (who'd've thought).
Not Toronto appropriate. Send them back and don't submit again until they're sufficiently boxy and grey.New images of the new subway cars released.
These are pretty nice. Thank God the initial design was just a place holder. It looked homely and outdated. Especially compared to rolling stock in places like Paris and Lisbon.

I like that the Alstom trains in Budapest (line 2 & 4) have a nice cream interior somewhat reminiscent of the H-series (or even the R42), rather than bland gray/white.
Line 2 & 4 use the same model, but 5-car vs. 4-car sets respectively, also line 4 is ATO (no cabs, just a full-width railfan window) while line 2 is manual. So basically similar situation to our line 1 & 4.
Line 2 extension to the Port Lands confirmed?!?!?

Line 1 will also get a few, so it's not like line 1 would ever be stuck with handmedowns like line 2 was.
When the new LFLRV livery came out on the buses, I spoke to someone in the design department and the TTC was very keen on leaning very much into the red in their branding. So I think there's a really good chance the red stays on the train.
Ideally, all TTC-operated rolling stock would adopt some version of this livery, at least as a long-term goal. Unfortunately, we’re now locked into the rather dire colour schemes on Lines 5 and 6 for a generation.
