Finch West subway station is the second station north of the previous northwestern terminus of the Line 1 subway. Part of the Toronto York Spadina Subway Extension (TYSSE), it is opened in December 2017.

The subway station is designed by the same team that designed Black Creek Pioneer Village Station together: IBI Group Architects as Engineers & Architects of Record, with Will Alsop/aLL Design as Design Architect.

Finch West LRT station, the eastern terminus of the new Finch West LRT under construction as of 2019 and targeted to open in 2023, will connect to the subway station. Metrolinx have contracted Mosaic Transit Group to design, build, and maintain the Finch West LRT. Arup are the architects.
