Lots of Torontonians will be unaware of a lush new greenspace that bridges over the Union Station Rail Corridor in the heart of Downtown, but most UrbanToronto readers will be well aware that The Park at CIBC SQUARE offers a quick getaway with great views for the price of heading a few floors up into the sky through either the South or the North Tower at the major new complex. While most of The Park's trees are of the living-breathing-wood-and-leaves type, one of them, standing 22 metres tall and called New Amalgam, is the stainless streel creation of artist Roxy Paine, making an impression all year round.
